Design Council of Saskatchewan is proud to host the Premier's Awards of Excellence in Design held in conjunction with Design Week 2011 coming up from November 14th to 18th 2011. This Awards Program is tailored to showcase Saskatchewan Design by local Saskatchewan designers. The award categories include various fields of design, including: architecture, community planning, engineering, graphic design, interior design, landscape architecture and collaborative (a collaborative entry demonstrates significant involvement of three or more member associations and cannot be entered in any other category).
All entries in the competition are displayed to the public during Design Week. At the conclusion of Design Week, a Gala evening is held, where a professional designer from each association is presented with an award honoring their contribution to the design community. The deadline for entries is coming up on Monday, November 7, 2011 @ 5:00pm. Please submit to your Design Council Representative, Marilyn Gould at Crosby Hanna & Associates, 407 1st Avenue North, Saskatoon SK S7K 1X5 or to the SALA office.

The Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF) is pleased to announce its 2012 grants program. This year, grants varying from $2000 for graduate students and up to $10,000 for professionals are available for research, communication and scholarship activities.
